Healthcare in the community

Health care is defined as the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and management of disease, disease, injury, and the preservation of human physical and mental wellbeing. Health care services are provided by medical practitioners and associated health professionals.

Health care can also be said to be the efforts to preserve or restore physical, mental or emotional well-being, in particular by qualified and licensed experts-generally hyphenated when used attributably. (Merriam-webster.com, 1828)

The HSE offers health and social services to all Ireland residents. Their services are provided throughout the nation to young and old, hospitals, health facilities and communities.

Community-based health care is intended for people of all ages in need of home health care assistance. Community care services include home care, nursing, physiotherapy and other services of rehabilitation. (Settlement.org, 2018)
